Upper Green River Allotment

The Forest Service is redoing the NEPA it withdrew on appeal in 2005. The Upper Green River allotment is the largest allotment in the Forest Service system and is also the bull’s eye for grizzly bear and wolf conflicts in the GYE. It also contains remnant populations of Colorado River Cutthroat trout. Most of the area in the allotment has a wildlife protection emphasis. If the Forest Service continues to ignore its Forest Plan and regulations, WWP will take this past the appeal stage to protect these species.
