Who to Contact Over the Killing of the White Hawk Wolf Pack

Online Messenger #33

Many readers of WWP's Online Messenger have responded to yesterday's Online Messenger # 32 with great concern, outrage and an interest in taking personal action to help stop the killing of wolves by United States government agencies.

WWP recommends that if you are interested please contact the following individuals as well as your Congressional delegation and ask that the killing of wolves be ended.

The agencies responsible for the killing are:

1. United States Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS)

Ed Bangs
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Helena, Montana
telephone: (406) 449-5225 extension 204
email: Ed_Bangs@fws.gov

Ed Bangs is in charge of all federal wolf "management" in Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho.

Carter Niemeyer
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Boise Field Office
telephone: (208) 378-5639
email: Carter_Niemeyer@fws.gov (or if that does not go through) try:
Carter_Niemeyer@r1.fws.gov

Carter Niemeyer is in charge of all wolf "management" in Idaho; he works under Ed Bangs. Carter is directly responsible for the order to kill the White Hawk Pack.

2. Wildlife Services ( A Federal Agency which is part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture)

Mark Collinge
Idaho State Office, Boise, Idaho
telephone: (208) 378-5077
email: Mark.D.Collinge@usda.gov

Mark Collinge is in charge of all federal government killing of predators and other animals ranchers dislike in Idaho. His employees carry out the helicopter gunning of the wolves.

3. Nez Perce Tribe

Curt Mack
telephone: 208-634-1061 (McCall, Idaho)
email: CMACK@timpt.NEZPERCE.ORG

The Nez Perce Tribe is the designated agency in Idaho for wolf "management". This is because the Idaho legislature prevented the Idaho Department of Fish and Game or any other Idaho agency from participating in wolf reintroduction. The Tribe contracts with FWS and is the on-the-ground responsible party in Idaho for wolves. Curt Mack has been hired by the Tribe and is the responsible administrator for the Tribe's participation in the killing.
