Western Watersheds Project and partners win relisting of wolves in the Northern Rocky Mountains

Friends,

Today, Montana Federal District Judge Donald Molloy issued an Order overturning the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's decision to delist Northern Rocky Mountain Wolves from the protections of the Endangered Species Act.

Western Watersheds Project is a co-plaintiff in this litigation with 12 other conservation groups. This great legal victory was due to the excellent representation of attorneys Doug Honnold and Jenny Harbine of Earth Justice's Bozeman, Montana Office. Thank you Doug and Jenny !!

This victory reinstates Endangered Species Act protections for wolves in the northern Rocky Mountains and ends the hunting of wolves in 2010 and 2011 in Montana and Idaho.
