Land Manager: State of Idaho/BLM Burley Field Office
Legal Location: T 13S R 22E Section 36 Cassia County
Allotment: #4131 Mill Creek

Dominant Plant Community Type: Sagebrush-Grass

Impacts: This state land is seriously degraded. Cumulative impacts from livestock utilization have severely impacted major portions of this creek. Severe down-cutting and head-cutting have led to loss of the water table and massive loss of soil on this state land section. Remnant riparian vegetation is now deep within the severely eroded channel. Illegal dumping has occurred over time. Wood, wire, metal, glass, plastics, and dead animal remains have been dumped onto this state land. Cheat Grass and other weeds have invaded the area.

Recommendations: It is recommended that livestock be removed from this location and that erosion control and clean-up be implemented by the state.
