Announces Two Major Fall Events
All readers are cordially invited to attend two events sponsored by WWP this October:
RangeNet 2002: Bovines or Biodiversity The National
Campaign to End Abusive
Public Lands Ranching
On October 9-11, 2002 will take place at Boise State University in Boise, Idaho.

no charge for attending the RangeNet 2002 conference.
The Conference is dedicated as a tribute to the late Dr.Joy Belsky who died in December 2001.
The keynote speaker on Thursday evening October 10,
2002 will be Dr. Thomas Michael Power, Chair of the Department of Economics at
the University of Montana whose topic will be: Post Cowboy Economics in the
New West.
Some of the other session topics include:
A drawing will be held on October 10, 2002 for five autographed hardbound copies of "Welfare Ranching". Eligibility for the drawing will be limited to those who pre-register for RangeNet 2002 by September 30, 2002.

Second Annual Greenfire Revival
The Second Annual Greenfire Revival will immediately follow RangeNet 2002 on October 11-13 at WWP's Greenfire
Preserve located on the East Fork of the Salmon River in Custer County, Idaho.
The Greenfire Revival is dedicated to the recovery of the 432 acres of the Greenfire Preserve and the more than 50,000 acres of public land grazing permits associated with the property, all of which WWP is seeking to permanently close to livestock use.
Events at the revival include hikes, allotment and lease tours, a riparian recovery seminar, birding, legal discussions with WWP staff and attorneys, good food, live music, and a surprise event on Saturday October 12.
A voluntary per person contribution of $20. is suggested for the Revival.
The Friday October 11, 2002 dinner at the Greenfire house will be a potluck.
